FREE Documentary Screening: "Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic"
When: April 1, 2015 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Join Ithaca College and the Tompkins County Health Department for a FREE screening of the critically acclaimed documentary, "Someone You Love: The HPV Epidemic." This film follows 5 women with cervical cancer, their struggles, and their triumphs. There will also be a Q&A session with a doctor following the film. Roughly 80% of people will get HPV at some point in their lives, so it's time we start educating and protecting ourselves!

Each ticket holder receives a gift item at their starting winery. A self-guided tour "cruising" around beautiful Seneca Lake, visiting 29 unique participating wineries, many with their own tropical theme, over the 2-1/2 day weekend of "fun in the tropics". This event is co-sponsored by the Elmira Corning Regional Airport.

LORRAINE RODRIGUEZ-REYES received her MFA from Harvard’s American Repertory Theatre (A.R.T.)/Moscow Art Theatre Institute For Advanced Theatre Training illuminating an acting career that has led her to the stages of Cherry Lane Theatre (Verse Chorus Verse), Mint Theatre (On The Edge), Repertorio Español (La Gringa), Theatre Row (A Bicycle Country, Dog Day Afternoon), Columbia Stages (Three Sisters), La Tea Theatre (Glass Chord, The Importance of Being Blanca), Moscow Art Theatre (Dostoevsky Demons), and Melancholy, a show she did at the beginning of her career at Harvard, directed by Scott Zigler; and the role of La Extraña in De Dónde at The Looking Glass Theatre which earned her an OOBER Award. Some of her Television credits include: HBO's The Sopranos,recurring guest star role on ABC's What Would You Do?, Diversity Inclusion Playbook for ESPN, and Cookin' in Brooklyn for Discovery. Film: Eli Moran, Taught to Hate, The Stick Up Kids, Willets Point (for which she was nominated as Best Dramatic Actress at The Long Island International Film Expo)

Canticle of the Cross Cantata

This Cantata is entitled "Canticle of the Cross" and was written by Joseph Martin. It depicts the Passion of Jesus (The last week of his life) in music and song. It is really very wonderful in both words and music and has an Irish flare to it. This year's "Canticle of the Cross" Cantata conducted this year by Sherry Scanza, Music Director at St. Catherine's of Sienna Church and voice instructor at SUNY Cortland. Free and open to the public!
